Keller Shines with 5th Place in XCO

On the physically and technically demanding Lake Placid course (USA), Alessandra Keller of Team Thömus maxon delivered another impressive performance. She remained consistently near the front, actively shaping the race from start to finish. The team also secured solid top-15 results in the men’s race.

Keller battled for the top spots throughout the race and was part of the podium-contending group for much of the event. It was only in the final stages that the relentless pace forced her to let the leaders go. She ultimately crossed the line in a strong fifth place.

Keller Looking Forward to Season Finale

“I didn’t have the best legs at the start, but I was fighting for second place until the penultimate lap. I’m happy with the result and excited for the final two races of the season,” Keller said after the race. The XCO victory went to the dominant world champion Jenny Rissveds (SWE), followed by Evie Richards (GBR) and Samara Maxwell (NZL).

Albin and Forster Deliver Solid Performances

In the men’s race, Team Thömus maxon was active at the front. Vital Albin and Lars Forster spent much of the race among the front runners and showed initiative, though they couldn’t make a decisive move for the podium. Albin finished 12th and Forster 13th – respectable results given the narrow time gaps at Lake Placid. Mathias Flückiger ended up in an unusual 41st place.

The XCO winners mirrored Friday’s XCC results, with Blevins (USA) taking the victory ahead of French riders Boichis and Azzaro.
