Quotes from the Thömus maxon team members:
Alessandra Keller:
“With a successful rehab after my cruciate ligament surgery, I already have the first highlight of the season behind me. I am very happy with the healing process, the built up and the training so far. At the start of the season in Brazil, I will be able to compete without any pressure and make an initial assessment of where I stand.”
Mathias Flückiger:
“I’m happy to finally be able to race a season mentally free again and just enjoy it.”
Lars Forster:
“The victory in Banyoles and the good stage race in Croatia are a sign that I’ve worked well over the winter months. I’ll take these positive results with me into the next races and the real start of the season at the World Cup in Brazil.”
Vital Albin:
“After a season full of setbacks last year, my main aim this year is to be fit and healthy on the start line. If I manage to do this, I am confident that the good results will follow very soon.”
Ralph Näf:
“The whole team’s preparation for the season has gone perfectly. Alessandra has made incredible progress following her surgery, Lars has already won in Banyoles and the start of our road project has been a huge success. We are very confident and are looking forward to finally getting started in Brazil in ten days’ time.”
Vital Albin will compete in the HC race of the Škoda Swiss Bike Cup in Rivera (TI) next Sunday, March 23. Next Thursday, the entire team will travel to Brazil, where a final test at the HC race on the World Cup course in Araxa is scheduled for Sunday, March 30. The World Cup starts a week later, also in Aracx, on April 5 and 6, with the short track and cross country competitions.
