Keller comes second at home World Cup

Alessandra Keller takes second place in the short track at her home World Cup in Crans-Montana. The Swiss champion thus defends her top position in the World Cup discipline rankings. Lars Forster and Vital Albin also impressed in the men’s XCC race, finishing 11th and 22nd respectively.

Forster just a little short of the podium   

Lars Forster fought for the podium at the XCO World Cup in Val di Sole (Ita) right up to the last lap, but narrowly missed out on eighth place in a closely fought race by 15 seconds. Alessandra Keller in tenth and Mathias Flückiger in twelfth showed solid performances, but were unable to reach their full potential.

Wiedmann forth, Keller fifth – men’s trio with positive signals

The fourth World Cup race of the season in Val di Sole (Ita) started with the short track on a new course. Luke Wiedmann (U23) in fourth and Alessandra Keller in fifth were the best results for Team Thömus maxon. Meanwhile, the three men Mathias Flückiger, Lars Forster and Vital Albin did not achieve an absolute top result, but nevertheless sent out positive signals for the XCO race on Sunday.

Keller and Flückiger selected for the Olympic Games

Milestone for the Swiss MTB team Thömus maxon. The two team leaders Alessandra Keller and Mathias Flückiger have been selected by Swiss Olympic for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. For Keller, it will be the first Summer Games; Flückiger will be taking part in the biggest and most important MTB race for the third time in a row after Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.

Keller again on the podium – Flückiger with a great comeback

Alessandra Keller crowned a perfect weekend for Team Thömus maxon at the World Cup in Nové Město na Moravě in the Czech Republic with an extremely strong third place. While the current women’s world number 1 impressed for the second time in 24 hours, Mathias Flückiger returned to the top of the world rankings with a strong race in sixth place.

Impressive World Cup victory for Alessandra Keller

Alessandra Keller from Team Thömus maxon has won the XCC World Cup in Nové Město na Moravě in the Czech Republic. It was the fifth World Cup victory of her career for the 28-year-old Keller. She thus took the lead in the overall discipline standings. U23 rider Luke Wiedmann also impressed: third in the short track and fourth in the XCO race.

Acquittal for Mathias Flückiger

Team Thömus maxon is very pleased with the acquittal of Mathias Flückiger announced today. In the verdict of the Swiss Olympic Disciplinary Chamber, Flückiger is exonerated of all allegations of anti-doping rule violations due to the presence of zeranol in his urine sample from June 5, 2022.

Luke Wiedmann rewards himself with European Championship silver 

At the European Championships in Cheile Grădiștei, Romania, Luke Wiedmann took silver in the XCO race in the U23 category – his greatest international success. At the same time, the Thömus Akros Young Stars team impressed with gold for Monique Halter (U23 XCO) and two silver medals for Lara Liehner (U19 XCC & XCO).
