Results take a back seat after tragic death of Gino Mäder

In view of the special situation and out of respect for the tragically deceased cycling colleague, Gino Mäder, the results took a back seat.

Alessandra Keller was the best Swiss cyclist on the selective course and finished eleventh. The women’s race was won by world champion Ferrand Prevot ahead of Pieterse and Richards.

In the men’s race there was an animated race with many lead changes. For the riders of Thömus maxon, unfortunately, the energy was not enough until the end. Lars Forster came in 18th, Flückiger 24th and Albin 27th. The race was won by Sarrou ahead of Schwarzbauer and Blums.

Highlight for Wiedmann

The resultant technical bright spot came yesterday, Thursday, from U23 rider Luke Wiedmann. He was able to enjoy his first World Cup podium in third place.

Our thoughts are with Gino Mäder, his family and his surroundings. Rest in peace.
