Home win for Flückiger – Keller ensures double strike

Mathias Flückiger has doubled a week after his World Cup victory in Andorra and won his home race in Huttwil. At the same time Alessandra Keller won the final race of the ÖKK Bike Revolution.

After a rather cautious start Mathias Flückiger was able to work his way steadily forward from 7th place. In the third lap the Swiss champion took over the top positions and finally won with a commanding lead of twenty seconds ahead of Joel Roth (Sui) and Latvian Martins Blums.

“Winning my home race means extremely much to me. To win at home in front of a fantastic crowd is something very special,” said Flückiger, who was extremely happy at the finish.
