4th Place For Alessandra Keller In Snowshoe

4th place for Alessandra Keller in Snowshoe

The start of the second last World Cup of the season in Snowshoe (USA) was only partly successful for Team Thömus maxon. The fourth place for Alessandra Keller was the highlight, but the Swiss champion was not satisfied with it.

It was the start, which Alessandra Keller did not succeed optimally on the very long and atypical XCC course in Snowshoe. From tenth place, she had to work her way forward with great effort. This succeeded well, but in the end those grains were missing to finish on the podium. “I am basically satisfied with my performance. But the start prevented me from getting on the podium. This cost me some points in the fight for the overall World Cup.” Alessandra Keller, in fourth place, ultimately missed the podium by just three seconds. The race was won by Evie Richards (Gbr).

Row two, three and four

The men tried to do the same to Alessandra Keller just a little later and create a perfect starting position for the XCO Sunday. Mathias Flückiger, Lars Forster and Vital Albin started every well, but had to cut back a bit before the race was halfway and fell out of the top 10. While Mathias Flückiger felt powerless and finished dissapointed in 27th place, Forster and Albin were able to find their rhythm again and finished in 12th and 18th place. This means the Thömus-maxon trio will start from rows two, three and four on Sunday. The XCC was won by Frenchman Victor Koretzky.

In the U23 Short Track Luke Wiedmann also did not have the best day and already finished 22nd on Thursday.
