Keller starts World Cup season with a podium finish

Alessandra Keller from Team Thömus maxon is off to a furious start to the new World Cup season with a third place. At the short track competition in Mairiporã, Brazil, the athlete from Nidwalden finished in third place.

In extremely hot and humid conditions, Alessandra Keller produced a perfect race right from the start. The 28-year-old was extremely strong on the mountain and finished third on the podium behind Evie Richards (Gbr) and Rebecca Henderson (Aus). Keller was very pleased at the finish: “I’m overall very happy with today’s race: I invested a lot today, but not everything. Tomorrow is another important day.”

In the men’s race, Lars Forster secured a starting position on the second row in 14th place. Mathias Flückiger showed a good race for a long time, but had to suffer a little at the end and finished on P20.

The cross-country races are on the program tomorrow Sunday.
